- Q1.The Foil does not run smoothly through the Foila machine.
- 1. Is the lid closed fully? Check both clips have "clicked" shut.
- 2. Are the foil cores pushed fully into the foil? For 10mm foil the cores should rest in the machine on the outside two rings.
- Q2.The Foila display says 'Check Foil'
- Firstly make sure the surfaces that the foil passes over are clean and free from debris. Clean the rollers if they have turned a silver colour. See where the leading edge of the foil has jammed. Is there an obstruction?
- Q3.The foils are not falling in to the tray neatly.
- 1. For longer foils e.g. over 330mm in length a tray insert may be require. Please call for details.
- 2. Are the rubber rollers clean? Use a clean dry cloth to clean the rollers to improve traction on the foil.
- Q4.The foil is jamming around the roller.
- 1. Are the rubber rollers clean, sticky? Use a clean dry cloth to clean the rollers.
- 2. Is there an obstruction in the machine. Clean ALL the areas that the foil passes over with a clean dry cloth.
- 3 Prior to calling, turn off the fold (select 0mm in the menu) and see if the problem persists.
- Q5.The foil is not exiting the Foila machine properly.
- 1. Are the rubber rollers clean? Use a clean dry cloth to clean the rollers to improve traction on the foil.
- 2. Is there an obstruction in the machine. Clean ALL the areas that the foil passes over with a clean dry cloth.
